Charter, Time Warner hemorraging customers

Lead story on JS Online today is about how the Charter and Time Warner cable systems are losing customers left and right. Predictably, they don't attribute it to their systems' refusal to carry the Big Ten Network. Conversely, Dish Network and DirecTV are adding subscribers. Score one for the conference.

I'm not a Charter or TW customer (I have Comcast), but I made the switch today. DirecTV will be installed on 11/29.

This is all about the Big 10 network too. I love the Comcast service that I have, but the Ohio State football game was the last straw. At least I'll have the BTN for the bulk of the basketball season.

Welcome to the club, Millie. It was s tough choice, but you'll like what's on the BTN.
