Sports Illustrated jinx for Clay?

Probably not. This is a cool shot, isn't it? It figures: I'd subscribed to SI for about 10 years and let it lapse earlier this year, and now they put a Badger football player on the cover.

The only other Badgers I can think of on SI's cover were Brian Butch and Alando Tucker on the 2006-07 men's basketball preview issue. Anyone else come to mind?

Ron Dayne probably had a cover. Mark Johnson? Alvarez before the first Rose Bowl?

First time Wisconsin football on the cover, only other time Wisconsin athletics was on the cover was that regional hoops issue. So this is the first "full run" cover for a Badger (and it's possible none got on the cover as professionals ... don't know if Ameche did, I guess Mark Johnson in the Miracle on Ice celebration but nobody by themselves I can think of).
