Definitely staying here

Wins over Illinois and Penn State since I stopped watching (involuntarily). Renewed defensive prowess. Two games with Indiana left on the schedule. Maybe there's hope for these guys yet!

If the Badgers begin losing again, I will put all blame on your presence on US soil.

That said, welcome back.

I'm surprised so many people feel Bucky won't make the tournament. Obviously they've got to win at home but I could realistically see these guys going 5-2 the rest of the way finishing 19-11. IMO that gets them into the tournament.

Not that this means too much, but Joe Lunardi has Wisconsin as one of the "First Four Out" teams right now for Bracketology. They can definitely get in going 5-2 down the stretch. As long as we win the games we should win, I like our chances.

Winning all of the home games (key game being Ohio State) and at IU puts them at 10-8 in the league. If they can steal one at either Minnesota or Michigan State, that puts them at 11-7 and a shoe-in for the tourney. Add the fact that the committee generally likes teams that finish strong, and it looks better.

I would also be relatively confident that the Badgers will be able to do some damage in the BTT. I was talking to EO and said that even with all of the losses, I could see them having a .500 record in the league but winning the tournament, just because so many of the losses could have gone either way.

This just in ... Andy North has created a Keep Scott Tappa in Germany Fund. If they can't get you on a hoops team there, they'll pay your tuition to a college there you can blog about. Austy

Too late, I'm back. Steve Buscemi and Woody Harrelson were on my flight. Woody looked rougher than usual.

Don't make me drive to northwoods Wisconsin and throttle you Tappa. In addition to the hoops team getting a bit of its groove back, the hockey team swept the Rodents this weekend in Mariucci and are tied for first place with Denver in the WCHA. Don't kill our buzz!
